TEAM FINANCE TRACKING SPREADSHEETS NOW AVAILABLE! (read below)
From Steve Marks... We talked about spreadsheets to help calculate team fees at the April Matrix meeting.
Linked below please find the Matrix Team Fee Worksheets that are used in Tierrasanta.
- The 2011 Matrix Team Fees is a generic worksheet to give an idea of the basic fees that need to be collected for a team’s age division.
- The 2011 Matrix Uxx-xx Team Fee Worksheet(s) have the current 2011 referee fees already plugged in for that age division
I fill in the appropriate U age division spreadsheet for each Matrix team in the Region. It enables you to calculate what fees from each team are going to the Region and to Matrix, and helps verify that teams have collected the appropriate amount and invoices match what you think is owed.
The correct uniform counts have to be adjusted along with the actual number of players on the team.
If the Region has different “Regional fees” for the Matrix teams then you will need to adjust accordingly. The minimum fee gives the bare bones basic fee you need to charge per player just to recover the: Regional, Matrix [Cal South, Presidio], and referee fees to field a team.
Be sure to input any extra costs below Extras. This would include: Tournament Fees, Team Camp, field equipment[balls cones], trainer fees, GK camp, team party. The spreadsheet will calculate the total per player cost.
I send the appropriate spreadsheet out to teams before tryouts to help coaches and managers estimate per player costs and plan according to what each coach is trying planning to offer their team. The spreadsheet’s are updated with uniform orders and extras, then used to pre-calculate invoices then verify them upon receipt. Makes it easier to verify/reconcile the total Regional Matrix invoices.
