Team Money
- You will be in charge of receiving all monies from the players and
parents. This then will be turned in to the Matrix Treasurer, or your
Regional Treasurer if your Region is handling your team money (in a
timely fashion, please). The Matrix Treasurer will keep an account of
each team’s money. You will also need to keep a record of what
you collect and turn in.
.
- You should also be prepared to keep an accounting of each child’s
financial status. Provide your parents with a monthly report of their
child’s account and an overall look at the Team, including how
much has been collected and spent and what is still needed for various
team activities.
.
- When fundraising, have a plan for what the money will be used for.
Get suggestions from players and parents, as they do fundraising at
school or in their other interests. Don’t forget the San Diego
Sockers fundraisers. Check with Jan Uhlig for Sockers ticket sales at
juhlig@sockers.com.
.
- Use the letters in the forms section to get Team Sponsors. Approach
employers, places you shop and doctors and dentists as well.
.
- Check the website for other teams that may be doing the same tournament
or fundraiser so that you will be able to get the better deal on the
cost, because the numbers will be greater.
